Pre 151 Trepca miners holding strike

The task leader of the former Balkan giant's chief executive and wider Trepca, Enis Abdurrahman, during an interview for Kosova Preress, has indicated that debts inherited from past management, which total over 20m euros, Trepca S.A. has been able to greatly reduce commitment [...]
According to him, restructuring some of the company's business units, Trepca is already on the right track and is firmly returning to profitable companies.
The inherited “Bridges are over 20 million. We have reached certain categories to reduce and reduce these debts, these company obligations. We have managed to reduce obligations from the debt category we owe to ATK, over 4.2 million, we have reduced debts to economic operators over 2.5 million, we have managed to reduce debts and obligations to KESKO and KEK. I say again, thanks to the subsidies the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has given us, in these two categories where it has helped us, as it is helping us in the salary category... the Trepca S. A... powerfully becoming profitable companies and has already managed to restructure some of its business units through regulations for systematization and levels, and we are on a good and prosperous path. There's a lot of work ahead of us and commitments”, he wrote.
As a result, Abdurrahman added, the company has managed to sign capital investment agreements on over 15m euros, as well as the division of a labouring capital fund for the company.
Prepca S.A. Undertaking. Over the past two years, there has been great progress, made big turns from an almost bankrupt company with over 20 million debts, reached as management, but also as a board, thanks to the economy minister's commitment to bring the company back to the re-entitiation transfer... In addition to all these good jobs that we have done, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has pledged as never before since Trepca S. A, continue capital investments, revitalize our mines, Trepca U.S.A. to return powerfully to profitable companies, with the primary goal of maximized profit and increased share value in the company. As a result, we have been able to sign capital investment agreements on over 15m euros, and the division of a labouring capital fund for the company, since the company has inherited debts and obligations from past management”, he said.
The Undertaking needs every minute of its time to use for productivity, all we need is work, engagement, labor discipline, and I think we're on a good track to achieving our goals as companies and mining industries that we are... Over the past two years, thanks to the good policies of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, we have been able to develop a new recruit for interns, over 210 interns we've managed to prepare for work, with an opportunity we've been given for six months at Trepca Company, and in the past few months we've developed the first recruits, where over 50 interns have managed to be employed at Trepca S. A, and they will start working since September 1st of this year. Now this is one of the key factors for the U.S. Trepca company to increase its productivity”, he said.
Abdurrahman explained that for all these and accomplished successes of the company with which he leads, the opinion of the independent audience, where, as he said, Trepca, for the first time from postwar, gets qualified opinion.
Two years at the U.S. Trepca Company. Major progress has been made. The opinions of the independent audience are also spoken of and testified. For two consecutive years, Trepca gets a qualified opinion for the first time. Consequently, for two decades we've had denial of the opinion of Trepca U.S. company. One of the greatest advances is raising the responsibility of financial reporting in this company, establishing labour discipline... Also, for the first time, the U.S. Trepca. There was a positive balance, for the first time meaning there was a net profit in its post-war history. This gives us courage and promises that the next years can become even bigger jobs, thanks to the commitments and investments that will take place in Trepca Sh.A”, he said.
He said that despite the progress achieved so far, the company expects hard work and major commitments in the future.
Abdurrahman also talked about the problems, difficulties and challenges the company is facing, with which they said that even though efforts have been made to reduce operational spending and increase revenues, Trepca has had some crises as a result of external factors.
“Despite our efforts and commitments to reduce operational spending by 25 percent during 2022 and increase revenues over 17 million from the production of concentration, lead and zing, we've had several crises as a result of external factors that are unmanable on our part, such as falling the price of metals on the stock, the condition of ownership between the dollar and the euro, and many other problems as a result of the energy crisis... And all these factors have directly affected the company's revenues. This has been associated with declining productivity as a result of the age and devaluation of productive cars in mines and flotillas”, he said.
The chief of Trepca has cited figures of 400,000 to 50,000 euros in daily losses in cases of sabotage, so he appealed to the miners not to boycott, but to approach work with seriousness and maximum commitment for the general good.
A value that can be rough (of daily losses in case of no work) depends on many factors, may be between 400,000 and 50,000 euros a day,... In consultation with the legal office and other departments, we've taken the first measures that every boycott and sabotage in the work will be sanctioned with stoppages of the execution of the day, and if this boycott and sabotage deepens, then we have the internal regulation measures that sanction up to 40 percent, but we have very clear laws that mean that any boycott and sabotage of three working days can also lead to the breaking off of the work relationship for every worker who did this work... The initial move has been taken against 151 workers who have boycotted the job, and a rough calculation of the financial measure to be taken against them will be about 176 euros for a worker, for these four days of boycotting”, Abdurrahman said.
