Topping the list for 2022 is Zimbabwe. The African nation, home to some 16 million people, now ranks among the five darkest nations for the third year in a row.
The first 10 countries were completed by Venezuela, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Argentina, Yemen, Ukraine, Cuba and Turkey, which led the rankings as the most unhappy countries in the world. Ukraine, which is currently defending its territory in a violent and bloody war launched by the invading Russian forces of Vladimir Putin, ranks eighth.
