EU spokesman Peter Stano has reacted by saying that from Kurti they still haven't seen any step “to reduce tensions in the country's north.

We confirm that High Representative Borrell has received a letter from Prime Minister Kurti. As always, the High Representative will respond through proper channels. So far, we have not seen any decisive and immediate steps by Prime Minister Kurti needed for despassing the” situation, he has said, confirmed this for Express.

Stano said recent developments in northern Kosovo only testify that escalation is still ongoing, and that is contrary to the interest of Kosovo and all the people in Kosovo.

He also said they have sent member states a summary of the measures on the Kosovo government unless it takes the steps required by mediators.

We shared a summary of the measures to be taken if Prime Minister Kurti does not take adequate and immediate steps to escalate the situation and reduce tensions. Discussions between EU member states are under way, and High Representative Borrell is in constant contact with leaders in the region and EU member states”.

Prime Minister Kurti today unveiled five points through which he said the situation in the north of the country would be expanded.

His conference followed a call from Kurt with High Representative Borrell, who showed him these points.

The five-point plan presented by Kurt includes:

-fulfilling the prosecution and trial of criminals who attacked the Kosovo Police, KFOR and journalists;

-the immediate impact of violent group attacks against legitimate institutions in the report that could have been done to reduce police presence in municipal objects;

- Common security assessments between the Kosovo Police, KFOR and EULEX every fifteen days to ensure a secure environment for all;

-Coordination between Government and all acts of early elections in four municipalities in the north, which must be organised in a free, democratic and unhindered liberal atmosphere.

-the immediate return to the dialogue mediated by the European Union, while the latter provides a right and balanced sequence plan for implementation of its Basic Agreement and Annex.
