Abraham: municipalities are much more efficient than government in capital investments

Sazan Ibrahimi ) Director of the Association of Kosovo municipalities has declared that even this year, as if last year, municipalities have had numerous problems with realising capital investments. He, at first, argues this lack of O board. The emissions, price hikes, then the non-immandation of the Public Procure Law, but according to him, even after all these troubles, local capital rates compared to the central level have been much better.
The realisation of investments at the local level has influenced the growth of investments in general because last year the realisation of investments in the municipality has been 63% despite many problems, meanwhile this year we have no municipalities which for six months have not implemented capital investments. According to the data we've provided as an association there are municipalities that have so far realised over 50% to 75% of capital projects”, Ibrahim said.
The head of the Communist Association has said that there is no other municipality with zero real investment now in this period of time except the municipalities in the country's north.
Ibrahim has argued the low degree of capital investments in several municipalities and with the problems of drilling which later go to court for treatment.
According to him, the low level of investments in municipalities is neither due to ignorance nor bureaucracy, since, as he has said, the staff in the municipality is more professional than in the government.
