He was detained about 11:30 Saturday, after allegedly driving at a speed above the standard allowed in Springfield, Colorado.
“The driver tried to change his seat with his dog in the passenger seat, at the time the officer approached”, the Springfield Police Department said.
The man came out from the passenger side of the vehicle and claimed that he was not running the car. He showed clear signs of drunkenness and left the officer when asked how much alcohol he had consumed, according to the police department.
The man was arrested within 20 meters of his car. He was first taken to the hospital and, after being checked by the doctors, went to Bacca County Prison. The man is accused of running a vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, leading a disabled vehicle, and resisting arrest.
