Adopted Bill on Medical Products A Shepherd's Price Will Be the Same in Every Medicine

This bill received the full support of the government cabinet.

During his presentation, Minister Vitita said it is a new policy in protecting our citizens.

This initiative regulates the prices of medical products for licensed pharmaceutical districts by majority and minority, representatives of the recipients of marketing and public institutions. The bill aims to make the cost of drugs on the pharmaceutical market affordable to be comparable to the countries of the region even cheaper, and other reference countries and the price of a grass will be the same in each drug store”, Vitita has said.

Vitita added that by defining the price of medicines and setting maximum prices for purchase from public institutions, the regulatory system in Kosovo is created for the first time.

The adoption of this bill is considered directly influential in public health, providing more affordable access to the population to needed drugs. This regulatory system is a prerequisite for establishing a drug re backing system”, Vitita said.
