European Parliament to Vote for Visas on 18 April

One of the European Union institutions, the European Parliament, is expected to vote for visas on April 18th, according to a draft agenda adopted by the Presidents' Conference. The vote will occur according to the emergency voting procedure proposed by MP Thijs Reuten.
Otherwise, the EU Council of Ministers has voted in favour of visa liberalisation for Kosovo on March 9th, confirming that Kosovars will be removed visas from January 1st, 2024.
Kosovars will travel to the EU without visas for a period of 90 days in each 180-day period. EU has linked this to the E system's entry into force TIAS, but if this system provides electronic authorisation for citizens who do not need visas, then liberalisation comes into force from January 1st next year.
After even the European Parliament gives the green light to the process, the decision is signed by representatives of three EU institutions, the Commission, Council and Parliament. The decision should then be published in the official newspaper then goes into effect 20 days after the publication, which early next year.
