Kurti, in his speech, has said he will honor and glorify the memory of children killed during the war, working without stopping to advance freedom and democracy, education and health, welfare and equality, justice and protection and security so that no one in the future dare to touch our children anymore.

Kurti's complete word:

Dear children, congratulations on the independence of Kosovo, the 15th anniversary of February 17th,

Here we are with President Vjosa and Chairman Glauk, even with the ministers of the Government, in this activity that shows you that despite your loss, pain, suffering, our suffering, we are together, we win, there is hope for our country, and this hope is you children of Kosovo, all the people of our Republic.

You're holding it from a candle in your hands on this storm and we have a total of 1133 candles because each one of these candles tells about a child who was killed during the war and is not among us.

So, we remember them and we will never forget them. The sacrifice of our people is great, the wounds of war are deep. It's endless pain. However, the joy of your happiness has no grief that you cannot overcome. When we see your heart becoming a mountain, we are filled with joy and happiness - now and for the future.

You have to learn as well as you can, at school banks, love your father's mother, teacher and educators, love each other, read as much and so the president, the mayor, and I are a bridge to the future of our country, which you will build even better than those who were before you, but always not forgetting those who contributed, were self-accompanied and gave their lives to free, independent, happy.

The “Memorial for children killed during the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo” will be lived. The task force is led by Saranda Bogujevci, who is deputy head of the Parliament and who has survived the March 28th 1999 massacre, when 7 children between the ages of 2 and 15 of the Bogujevci family, Duriqi and Llugaliu, were shot in Podujevo by the Serbian police unit “Scorpions”

Dear children,

Dear citizens,

We will also honor the memory of children killed during the war, working without stopping to advance freedom and democracy, education and health, welfare and equality, justice, but also protection and security so that no one in the future dares to touch our children anymore, touch you.

You are growing up with the Republic of Kosovo. Most of you are younger than the Independence of Kosovo, but I want you to enjoy health and success and live a lot longer than our Republic, as our independence. Forever, forever!

Congratulations again, everyone!
