Kosovo Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu after the terrorist attack in northern Kosovo on 24 September has expressed the executive's position on whether to continue dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

Kryeziu said it is now a whole new situation with other priorities.

“What happened on 24 September in the village of Banjska has been a violation of state sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security, as never before since the end of the war. Now we have a whole new situation with other urgent priorities to do with addressing the consequences of Serbia-sponsored terrorist attack. What is necessary to happen currently is guaranteed security for Kosovo and sanctions are imposed for Serbia”, he said.

Kryeziu further said that the Republic of Kosovo has been a ready party for dialogue and agreement all along. But according to him, a real process of dialogue requires minimum trust standards between the parties.

“Terroral, paramilitary and criminal solution of the 24 September date has confirmed that while meetings for implementation of the Base Agreement were held in Brussels, which at the centre has de-facto reciprocal recognition, Serbia was preparing plans for annexing the north”, Kryeziu said. / RTV21
