US President Joe Biden is holding a press conference at Tel Aviv.
Beden has said that as the US after 11 September, Israel is now feeling “shaken, in pain, in rage, an all-involved anger”.
“The US unequivocally stands for the protection of civil life during the 911 conflict, he said, The Guardian reported.
He says he has asked the Israeli cabinet to comply with sending aid to Gaza, with inspections that would prevent him from arriving at Hamas.
He earlier said that the attack on Israel was so hateful because of the Holocaust's memory. He has said President Harry S Truman made the US the first country to recognise Israel and Biden has said he will go to Congress to seek an unprecedented package of support for Israel. He has warned Iran not to interfere.
