One of the most beautiful cities in the United States bans tourist entry: Bloggers come only for pictures, it makes life miserable.

Vermont, known as the ideal place for the autumn escapes, has closed its roads to the public for this season for about 15 days. It also blocks access to the popular Sleepy Hollow farm, a private home that many tourists try to visit.

Sleepy Hollow Farm has been a popular destination for bloggers seeking the perfect view of a autumn landscape of fallen yellow leaves. Videos using hashtag #sleeyyholfarm have been seen over 800,000 times in TikTok. Meanwhile, thousands of pictures of the farm were posted on the Instagram.

The quest for the autumn idyllic photos has created a headache for the residents of Pomfret. In fact, some have created a GoFund Me campaign titled “Save Culudl and Road” to collect money for road closure and traffic hours during the autumn season.

The collected money will go towards the payment of additional security staff at the chief police officer's office and more new signs and signals. However, most city residents stress that they are not opposed to tourism. They just want visitors to show respect for the country.

The last “Ves, Cloudl and Road (where bloggers gather for their photos) and small roads leading to it, have experienced an unprecedented rise in tourist flows promoted by Instagram and TikTok, which are gaining money from photos,” is said in the description of the GoFundMe page.

The campaign, which has raised nearly $15,000, also claims that bloggers who visited the town “damaged roads, had accidents, broke gardens, damaged residents' property, parked on fields and sidewalks, and physically attacked local residents“.

Few businesses operate in the area and is generally a quiet area.
