Swiss prosecutors say Blutter illegally organised a transfer of 2 million Swiss francs to the Platini accounts in 2011, writes Periscope.
Blutter and Platini, who were indicted in November, have denied the charges. If convicted, they could be sentenced to effective imprisonment for up to five years, or fine.
The case opened in September 2015. The FIFA Ethical Committee launched an investigation, later excluding and forcing the second to leave their positions.
The issue focuses on a payment requirement for the advisory work Platini made for then FIFA President Blatter between 1998 and 2002.
Prosecutors said Platini demanded payment over eight years after the end of his advisory activity.
With the Blutter involvement, FIFA paid Platini a fee on the sum mentioned early in 2011”, prosecutors said.
Blatt and Platini are accused of fraud, embezzlement, “treacherous business management” and forged documents. The incident has been established by the Swiss Attorney General's Office./Periscopi/
