One guy asked me today: Do you keep in touch with Hashim Thaci?

It says: Hakki Morina even in the past have asked me whether she has anything to do with this, or with that politician, this or that personality of great influence, such as current President Ilir Meta, former Prime Minister Pandeli Majko, former head of the Kosovo Parliament Kadri Veseli, former Prime Minister Fatos Nano, Ali Ahmeti, Rexhep [...]
It says: Haki Morina
Even in the past, I have been asked whether he has anything to do with this, or with that politician, with this or that high and influential personality, such as current President Ilir Meta, former Prime Minister Pandeli Majko, former Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli, former Prime Minister Fatos Nano, Ali Ahmeti, Rexhepi, etc. There were also those who didn't ask me, but they were convinced that I kept in touch, based on the history of my past, which has introduced me to those political personalities.
I didn't keep any personal contact since they became “the greats”. I have kept no relationship, even when I am lonely in their defense.
That's because I've never run after individuals, however powerful they were, but I've run after the idea.
When these personalities have maintained right attitudes, I have protected them. I protected them, and I never asked them to return the debt.
I didn't ask for a return to my personal debt, because I didn't protect them, but by protecting them, I defended my idea, I protected my concept of the state, of the people and of its future.
Of course I criticized them. I am one of the first to criticize them. And I didn't criticize them from their party post, because those positions were criticized by the devil and his son. Serbia has also criticised them.
Of course I'd like to visit them now that they're in prison. But I wouldn't visit to sell my mind to pretend I was somebody. But I would visit because they now need courage, interest in them. Unfortunately, I can't do this because I've never invested in life for my own interests, but for the interests of my country. And when you do, you may find it a problem to take long, expensive roads.
But I don't visit them for another reason. I don't visit them because Hashim Thaci and his friends now at least need visits. They need their political protection. They need each of us to work in the interests of Kosovo and its future.
I have done this, and I continue to do it with the strength that I have at my disposal.
And I have no power but my mind and my heart.
