Johnson is expected to meet with leaders of the two countries during the 24-hour visit, as well as is expected to discuss Europe's response to the war in Ukraine.
Downing Street said the visit to Stockholm and Helsinki was also about the “security of Europe”.
Finland's President, Saul Niinsto, is expected Thursday to expand his stance on NATO membership -- a move that would mark a major breakthrough for the country's security policy.
A report is also expected Sunday by Sweden's leading party following consultations during the weekend. /Periscopi/
