All humans have special behavior. Sometimes they are not strange to us at all, but they may seem strange to an outside observer. While many behaviors are purely human, they may at times be a cause of anxiety.

Some of the stereotypes of anxiety include nervousness, fear of public speaking, or fear of being in crowds. But many forms of anxiety are not so obvious. Despite their level of recognition, many anxiety behavior may be related to some experiences of childhood trauma. Research has shown a link between childhood trauma and many symptoms of anxiety.

Fear of seeing, or negatively assessed, appears in various ways. Many survivors of childhood trauma are afraid to settle in a situation they cannot escape, and this can lead to a host of avoiding behavior. <x)

These answers appear in many different areas of one's life. The following are 10 of the most common behaviors:

1. Failure to answer the phone or avoid calling. This, nowadays, doesn't even seem strange. For someone who has no social anxiety, the answer on the phone may seem to be a simple task, and avoiding it may seem just lazyness. However, what separates this from mere laziness, or normal avoidance, is the growth of adrenaline and subsequent cortisol for someone with a trauma history. While simply ordering food or confirming a meal list with a partner may be a neutral experience, the response of an unexpected telephone call causes fear that the act can lead to an unpleasant, unexpected conversation. This reminds you of the feelings of being “captured”, placed instead by parents or stewards when there was no way out, or when privacy or boundaries were violated.

2. The silence or silence during group events or social environments. If this looks like obvious social anxiety, sometimes it is. Many forms of social anxiety can be the result of growth in a chaotic environment. As a result, victims of trauma sometimes have experiences of overstimulation during social environments. Situations requiring a high level of commitment can be exhausting, and there may seem to be no way of taking a mental break.

3. Being nervous when someone sits right next to you. This is so common that there are mood - based issues. Having an unknown person sitting next to you, for example, at the movies can prevent you from focusing on the movie, because of the hyper-awareness of being close to another person. When we grew up in an environment in which our borders were violated, we have an increased sense of consciousness for other people and our position within a crowd or in a room. Hence, having a large personal bubble becomes essential to maintaining inner comfort.

4. The need to sit in certain locations or areas during visits to restaurants or social events. Many victims of trauma report that they prefer to sit on the wall with their backs compared to a door or space. Because of their continuing state of hypervigilance, their nervous system keeps them “ready” for any perceived threat, even inconsistent. Sitting where they can monitor the room and everything inside it seems to calm that nervous tension, even at the moment.

5. Eating or drinking too much. Survivors of trauma develop self-defying ways, often in the form of pleasure or avoidance of food or substances. In recent decades, the health industry has developed a greater understanding of the link between trauma and anxiety about food or drink. “People with eating disorders often have a history of unfavourable childhood experiences and trauma” (Jones, 2021).

6. Someone knocking on your door that's unexpected/unattacked. This elevated feeling of prejudice and anxiety is often related to children's experiences ʹ from the inability to recover “”.

7. And ask forgiveness for that which is still yours. When we are constantly criticized or constantly feel that everything is our fault, we develop a strong sense of shame. This manifests itself in a constant need to apologize excessively, even when you have done nothing wrong. This is often the result of emotional abuse or neglect in childhood.

8. Having an added reflection of surprise. When the nervous system is constantly disturbed, it is common to have an added response to noises or incentives that others may not notice or worry about.

9. You don't want to have people in your house because you can't check when they leave. This is often due to the inability to control your safe space, like. Growth in a house where borders were unclear and privacy was violated.

10. Being more comfortable with some people than others. Growth in an environment where adults are not always safe and reliable makes many people feel worried about young people. Traumatic survivors have a growing sense of who we feel comfortable with or “safe”.
