Even because of the large number of member states in this organisation that have recognised Kosovo's independence, the prospects are said to be great for membership.
But, the diplomat, Islam Lauka, says it is not guaranteed a vote for Kosovo by all connoisseur countries.
You're taking numbers, most of the member states in the Council of Europe know Kosovo, what they don't know are minorities, and because that's the principle of the majority judging by this logic, we're accepted, but there's no guarantee that those who recognise you vote in pro”, Lauka said.
He said on this issue in Tv1 that Kosovo should lobby for membership in this organisation in advance.
“have bitter experiences with INTERPOL, mes ON, do you know that in U NESTO has also voted against EU countries, and my opinion that before we apply for membership we have to do the preventing work in such a way that we will be convinced that we will succeed”, he added.
