Zegrova yesterday realised a Euro-gool to Angers to equalise the score to 1-1.
A few moments ago, Di Marzio has published a long letter to Zegrov, telling in detail the story of the Kosovo assailant.
“As a child, they called him Kosovo Massi, and at the age of 12, was chosen among the best in Milan camp in Pristina. Today he tries to launch in Leele: Zegrov's history”, entitled The Writing, published by Di Marzio on Twitter, where he numbers 1.5 million followers.
In the Ligue 1 lap in which the top goals were scored throughout the season (38), the most beautiful was marked by Edon Jedrov of Lille style “Robbin”. It's not the first time he ever scored this way in his career. Zegrov is a young talent born in 1999 that has long awaited. As a child, he drove all of Kosovo (where it grew up): local newspapers called it our “Mesia “.
Gergrov's History
He was born on March 31, 1999, in Herford (Germany), where his parents were determined to escape war. Zegrvova now 23 years old could have played four nationals: Germany, its native Albania, Belgium, where it was placed at the age of 15 and Kosovo, which it later chose to represent. It was a choice of heart. As a child, he was considered one of the greatest talents in the country. Comparisons flocked without filters, but in the field he showed really unusual things. The elegant touch of the ball, the humiliating drives, the cold of choice, the firing skills and, above all, altruism, which is not a small thing for a 12-year-old boy who knows there's more than others. On YouTube, there are still videos of his exploits when he was wearing the Flamurtar reds fan, a professional club in Pristina, Kosovo's capital.
That Milan camp where they fascinated everyone
One twirl to another. In the summer of 2012, AC Milan hosts Milan Junior's camp just in Pristina. An opportunity to expand the brand, entertain the children and not discover the local talents. There's Edon Zegrova. He elects the best camp player and is invited to play a friendly match in San Siro along with other chosen peers. A unique emotion that he lives by his talent. The red club, however, does not transfer it. Zegrov leaves for Belgium and will start playing with professionals. Standard Leege, then Genk and then Basel. Today, Leelle.
And be careful. It is true that a Messiah in Leelle (now seventh in League 1) is a little out of the question. But beware, for from there come some talents that are worth a lot like today: Nicolas Pepe, Osimhen, Jonathan David, Leah, Botman, Maignan, Renato Sanches. And then Milan in those parts always keeps one eye on focus. San Siro is not forgotten: who knows a second chance can happen in the future.
