The Kravchuk-Zinchenko duo played with Shakhtar Donesk youth. Cravchuk was at Turkey's training camp with his Russian club Torpedo Moscow, when the invasion in Ukraine began.
The 23-year-old midfielder has interrupted the contract and is in Manchester, where he will train with City's U-23 for the rest of the season. He said he didn't feel good about playing for a Russian club.
I was playing for a country that invaded my homeland. Leaving the club was the only choice. People in Ukraine wouldn't understand me if I kept playing there”, Cravchuk said.
