You want to stay in shape all the time? Exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle during Ramadan can be difficult when you cannot drink water or eat during the day. But finance experts say there are several ways to help you, according to The Independent.
Hide in the morning
If you drink as much water as you can between Iftar (your setting of the sun) and your eyelid (before dawn) can help reduce the risk of dehydration during the day especially if you plan to train at some point, says Sunny Salique, personal coach.
Find your golden watch
Fasting is different for everyone, so everything has to do with finding the time of training that is best for you. The coach points out: “I personally train in the evening, hours after I broke the fast, because that means I can drink water during my sessions and not worry about dehydrating”.
Go to a 24-hour gym
Most gyms are closed at 10: 00 a.m., but if you join a 24-hour local gym for the month of Ramadan, it gives you flexibility to exercise after you have stopped fasting or in the middle of the prayer,” says Salique.
Eat a Complete Breakfast
“Eat a good morning (before sunrise) with complex carbs”, advises Salique. For me, this involves a lot of oatmeal and banana nuts, as this will give you slow release during the day and keep you more fed for longer. ”
Make Time for Recovery
Every training regime needs integrated rest, but when you wake up early during Ramadan, it may be difficult to sleep that you need. X-ray is so important for recovery. I usually go back to bed after the morning prayer and take a nap, then I practice at 9 a.m.,” says coach Souad Gharib.
And Salique says he sleeps between 5: 00 p.m. and the time to break fast to regain energy. It's all about being strategic”, Gharib says. You may feel really upset in the first week, so take more frequent naps during the day if you can”.
Exercise, just 10 minutes a day.
If you don't have energy for a 45-minute exercise, just consider whatever soft activity you can. Make your yoga, go for a walk, whatever moves you're thinking of, just do”, says body transformation coach Nazia Khatu. “will help your mental well-being, since sitting around all day, or sleep may make you feel even more tired”.
