“Pristic, March 21, 2022
Together with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and at the same time Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore Donika Grovalla, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Albin Kurti had a virtual meeting with the ambassadors and chiefs of diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Kosovo.
The discussion discussed the situation in the region and the security of the region after the Russian invasion and aggression in Ukraine. The Republic of Kosovo has expressed solidification with Ukraine and the Ukrainian people since without hesitation has strongly condemned the aggression of the Russian Federation, joining the EU, the United States and the democratic world in imposing sanctions on Russia.
The other issue discussed at this virtual meeting was that of Serbia's presidential and parliamentary elections, which the prime minister said to be held in Kosovo also must have an agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. He told ambassadors and diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Kosovo that we do not want to afford the right of voting to the citizens of our Republic who have dual states, but at the same time we cannot act contrary to the country's legitimacy and constitutionality. We will act responsibly, Prime Minister Kurti said, until he said he is in constant communication with the QUINT states.
Also discussed was a greater commitment in the field of economic diplomacy, starting with the establishment of contacts and related bridges to promote Kosovo's worldwide potential”, the communique said. / PERISCOP
