He says Russia has an ally of Serbia and that the latter could engage directly to strain the situation.

The “can certainly reflect on the Balkans because these warnings are from both European and global authorities, but at the same time from our authorities in terms of the evaluation, to the risk and threat of security, because they do not need to engage directly because they have Serbia here and Republika Srpska as conveyers of tensions especially in relation to Kosovo and Republika Srpska with the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, he has said of the FrontOnline.

As for the country's north, Ibishi claims that the demand to increase KFOR's presence in that part proves that calm can be maintained and the situation does not strain.

I think the institutions, the security sector, but the Government and the Presidency have taken appropriate measures in order for the situation to be under control, even international factor, international military presence... so it has also been asked to increase KFOR's presence in the north, which provides an additional opportunity to keep this section of the” region, it has indicated.

Ibishi, in this interview for FrontOnline, has also talked about Kosovo's NATO membership.

It estimates that this is the right moment, despite what he says four countries have not recognised the state of Kosovo are part of NATO and can influence this.

I am one of those who believe that the moment should be used because of the situation created there and NATO countries, we have four European Union countries that have not recognised Kosovo and it is known that there should be consensus on accepting a new state to enter NATO, this is all we have in mind, but none of the countries that have particularly not met the criteria for” have declared Ibishi for the FrontOnline.

As for the Government's commitment to becoming part of the Atlantic Alliance, Ibishi says they are taking measures.

Despite this, however, it says that there is still work to be done.

“I think it's taken measures, I think the action is being taken... I think they're doing the job very well, but actually they need to be even more focused on the development issue and especially on the everyday aspect of”, it is expressed.

Three days ago the Government of Kosovo has established the Security Fund.

The funds collected by this fund are intended to be used in line with the state security strategy of the Republic of Kosovo.
