“As at the beginning of the coronary crisis, conamers should show solidarity and buy in the usual amounts”, said Federal Association of Gracer spokesman Christian Boettcher.
Retail chains have marked increases in sunflower oil and flour purchases since the beginning of Ukraine's Russian occupation, one of the most important producers of these products. Germany imports 51 percent of sunflower oil from this country.
Boettcher said there are no reports of problems with the supply of sunflower oil or flour. However, he concluded that if the war in Ukraine continues, it could have an impact on the supply of these products.
After the start of the war in Ukraine, the German Businessmen's Association (HDE) explained that the war in this country would not affect the supply of products.
“Germania, like Ukraine, is a exporter of cereal, meat and milk products”, the association said in a statement.
