Even an important film festival in Switzerland costs Albanians and Kosovo a special section of his. It's about the Freeburg Film Festival, FIFF, and its 36th edition, held from 18 March to 27 March, 2022.

Just a few months ago, in November 2021, the Winters Short Film Festival focused Kosovo and its film, presenting about 20 short films, documentaries and artists, writes albinfo.ch. And at the next Friburg International Festival, in the section called “Diasspora: John Theatres, Albania and Kosovo” will be shown five feature films, five long and three short films -- all from Kosovo, Albania and Northern Macedonia.
The particular part of this programme is a conversation on one of the evenings, with singer Johns Teres (Muaremaj), who has reportedly represented Switzerland at Eurovision and brought the biggest success of recent years to the festival's third place.

The International Fribourg Film Festival (FIFF) has already announced to the public the full programme of its 36th edition. 127 films from 58 countries on all continents say many offer a unique picture of film production that testifies to the state of our planet. They are little - known works that have never appeared in Switzerland.
The Albanian is the sixth most widely spoken language in our country, even more common than Spanish. However, Albanian culture and customs are largely unknown in Switzerland, reportedly in the recent announced announcement by festival organisers.
FIFF has been searching for a person from this culture for his Diaspora section. On May 22, 2021, Johns Tears nearly failed to win the Eurovision Song Conference, but his performance helped him penetrate the stage.
The son of a Kosovo father and a mother from Albania, John Muarremaj, has enthusiastically admitted this “carte blanche”, because movies are his great passion.

Films to be shown in this section belong to different times of realisation. So, the first will be classic film “Skenderbeu” (Albania, USSR, 1953). Then come: “Fin de Party” (Autor: Genus Maximi-Maxville, Switzerland; “Hive/Zjoi” (Kosovo, Switzerland, Albania, Northern Macedonia. Author: Blerta Bashan); “Marriage” (Albania, Kosovo. Author: Blerta Zeqiri); “Systerhood” (North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro. Author: Dina Duma); “Lost Exile” (Switzerland, Kosovo. Maxhun-Maxville noble author; “Sans Le Kosovo” (Switzerland. Author: Dea Djindovci and “Friend” (Kosovo. Author: Jamie Donoughue.
