6 traits you can inherit only from your father

In biology class we have learned that we inherit 50% of the DNA from our mothers and 50% from fathers. However, this biological fact does not mean that each parent passes an equal amount of physical and genetic characteristics to his child. In fact, children are 60% more likely to inherit external traits from their fathers.
Here we show you six traits that you're most likely to inherit from your father:
1. Length
You've probably heard the expression “over and over like the father”. This expression seems to be heavily supported by science. One person's length is determined by at least 700 genetic variations inherited from both parents. However, the gene for each parent's length seems to function in a slightly different way. For example, father genes are important in stimulating growth and therefore in length.
2. Wrong Teeth
In cases of poor dental health, a child is more likely to visit dental clinics more often than his peers, even if his mother has very good teeth. From the bacteria to tooth decay and all middle dental problems can be inherited directly from the father.
3. Georgia
Fathers are 100% responsible for their newborn gender. Chromosomes X and Y, commonly known as sexual chromosomes, define the child's gender. The girls inherit an X chromosome from their father, resulting in an XX genome, and the males inherit an Y chromosome from their father, resulting in an XY genome. Because mothers are only testing X chromosomes, fathers are responsible for the child's gender.
4. Holes in page
In many cultures the pits on the page are seen as a sign of beauty and authenticity. However, scientists describe pits as a defect caused by cutting facial muscles. The pits are supposed to be inherited because they are a dominant genetic trait and are more often inherited by the father.
5. Fingerprints
A baby's fingerprints can look like their father's! Although not exactly the same, fingerprint patterns are genetic traits inherited from our fathers.
6. Sneezing
Many of us know at least one person who talks uncontrolledly when watching the sun or other bright lights. Well, this is another genetic trait that Dad is responsible for. This condition is known as Achoo syndrome and is more likely to be transmitted by the father.
