Ukraine's MP, Irina Friz, has warned Kosovo's recognition of Ukraine.
This is her Facebook entry:
Russian military invasion in Ukraine and the threat of nuclear weapons has destroyed the international law system. United Ukraine, independent along with its Armed Forces, has chosen our Western partners. But some of the countries are keeping their friendship with us, but they are once supporting the occupational country. One of these is Serbia, which has been participating in Donbas since 2014 by sending its citizens. Today, Belgrade is not the only country that does not support Russian sanctions. However, the nation that became the victim of Serbian genocide in the 1990s, Kosovars, now support Ukraine. This is a post by former minister Vlora Citaku, who wrote: “No one wants war. Nobody. I know how a survivor of war. However, sometimes war is the only way to protect freedom and dignity. My heart is with the women and men in Ukraine who are at war now.
True friends, writes the Ukraine MP, are the ones to support you at the most difficult moments in history. So we will have to follow the path of Western partners who have already recognised Kosovo and make decisions on its recognition. It's time to join our friends, not play with our enemies. Whether Ukraine, thank you, I support Kosovo in its support.
