You get a message from the DM. It could be an obsession, a friend, or the one who just quits and just writes every day of the week. You're not gonna open the message right now, but at the same time, I'm dying to know what it says. So it's that “seen” that screws up! Is there any way that they will not realize that you have read the message while you have read it?
One of them, you probably know, is to read it right away. See him write without having to open it. By clicking over the announcement that comes in a second, you can read it all, but be careful not to open it, since there is no turning back.
Another way you probably didn't know is to do “restect” what he wrote to you. This option practically limits someone's interaction to interact with you, without having to make block or remove it from the following list. Using the “restect” option, all messages that your followers send to you will be passed on to the Message Records option and you will not be informed as it does inbox. They won't be informed that you've registered until you choose to respond.
Their messages can be opened and read without fear that you can upset someone with “seen” on the other side!
