Peach will hold meetings with President Vjosa Osmani by 11:00. Also, morning, Peach will hold an appointment with Prime Minister Albin Kurti by 10:00.
Britain's representative yesterday and today has stayed in Belgrade, where he met with representatives of Serbia, with whom he talked about dialogue and developments in the region.
Otherwise, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has appointed Peach as the special envoy for the Western Balkans as part of the continued commitment of the United Kingdom to the region's development and prosperity. The Marshal Army was assigned to the post on December 2, 2021.
Stuart Peach earlier was in charge of the chairman of the NATO Military Commission, which he held since 2018. He has also served as chief of United Kingdom Protection Staff.
As prime minister's special envoy, Stuart Peach will work with Western Balkan leaders, with others in the region and allies in the US and Europe, to support and strengthen regional stability.
His work will also include promoting strong democratic institutions and open societies, favouring the fight against organised crime and other common security challenges, as well as encouraging the resolution of inherited issues, such as war crimes and missing persons.
For Serbia and Kosovo, he will work with international partners in support of the Serbia-Kosovo dialogue, mediated by the European Union.
