Berlin, which represented the front line during the Cold War until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, is sending a clear signal to a free and sovereign Ukraine.
“We are showing our solidarity with the people of Ukraine, with many Ukrainian-rooted berglines, but also with many Russians wanting peace in Russia and Ukraine”, Berlin Speaker Franzinska Giffey said in a statement.
