After meeting with Kurti, KFOR declared short

“Today the commander of the NATO-led mission, KFOR, Major General Angelo Michele Ristuccia, has met with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and EULEX mission chief Lars-Gunnar Wigermark to discuss the security issue in Kosovo”, KFOR's Twitter announcement said.

Meanwhile, the Government's announcement said there has been common agreement that barricades should be removed at this meeting.

“Constantiation joint from this meeting is that freedom of movement should be restored and that there should not be barricades on any road”, the government's announcement said after meeting with leaders of missions.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurt today has assembled the National Security Council. In a statement sent to the media, Kurti's office said Kosovo police have the potential and willingness to act to remove the barricades, but are waiting for KFOR to operate.

“U stressed that within these 17 days since the establishment of barricades, there has been continued communication with KFOR. Also, it was reiterated that Kosovo police have all capacities and readiness to act, but as already known, we are awaiting actions by KFOR”, KKM's announcement said.
