What are some of the reasons why you have vaginal scratches?
Lori Harrison, nurse and health care for women, says:
Think about the vaginal area. It's warm, dark and wet almost all the time. It's the perfect environment for scratching and irritation. Fortunately, this is usually easily treatable. ”
Below, Harrison and Dr. Drion M. Burch, gynecologist, explains the common causes of vaginal scratching:
Infections
They're annoying, but super ordinary. “Canida [a common type of yeast that can lead to mycotic infections] is always present in small quantities, explains Dr. Draion. “But when normal vagina acidity or hormonal balance changes, Canada can multiply and cause problems.
Sensitive skin
Vagina is delicate. It reacts to aromas and perfumes by becoming irritated and often corrode. If the scratch is mainly external, it can be just a hair grown under the skin or a reaction to a vaginal product with a scent.
Some activities, such as bicycle rides or tight clothes, can also exasperate the vagina and cause it to scratch.
Bacterial Vaginosis
Not only can depiling and scented products cause frustration, but they can sometimes cause infection. These things will kill your good bacteria, allowing bad bacteria to invade the area. Bacteria can then cause scratching, vaginal fluid leaks, painful urination, and even an unpleasant smell.
Skin Status
Eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus and other chronic skin diseases may also affect the skin of your seal. If you notice red or scales on your skin near your vagina, contact your doctor immediately, especially if you already have an inflammation of your skin in other areas of your body.
Stress
In general, excessive stress can affect your body in a number of ways: headaches, stomach disorders, muscle tension, etc. Even vagina is not immune to stress. Stress destroys your hormones, and a hormone imbalance can cause vaginal scratching.
Sexual transmitted infections
If you are sexually active, you cannot completely rule out the possibility of a sexually transmitted infection, or IST. Vaginal corrugation is a symptom of infections such as clamidia, genius herpes, gonorrhea, and trimonosis. To reduce the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection, always practice safe sex.
Important: In any case mentioned above, you should contact a gynecologist as soon as possible.
