Biden grateful for Albania: We worked together for freedom and democracy in the world

Republic of Albania President Bajram Begaj received today, during his meeting with US representative to the UN Ambassador Linda Thomas-Grenfield, a message of gratitude and gratitude from President Biden for Albania and the Albanian people for strong co-operation in advancing bilateral relations, regional stability and global security.

“As NATO allies, we have worked together to protect freedom and democracy worldwide”, the President Biden says in his message.

In the face of Russian aggression against Ukraine, we have stood side by side with the UN Security Council and co-operated in resolutions related to Russia's unfair and untested war, as well as to addressing other global challenges. President Biden praises Albania's generous assistance in the housing of Ukrainian and Afghan refugees as a contribution to a safer world.

“The US remains committed to helping Albania significantly and consistently strengthen cyber defence, including financial support and the establishment of a cyber security working group”, is highlighted in the message.

In the case of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, President Beden underscores that, in the coming years, we want to further deepen our strategic partnership, as well as support Albania's efforts for a greater leadership role through promoting stability and energy security in the Western Balkans. /Attish/Photo: Biden-fb/ official page
