Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has said Serbia is threatening violently because Kosovo is implementing the law. While answering the issue of converting plates from illegal to those in the Republic of Kosovo, Osmani has said that Kosovo is implementing the law until it has added that they will work with all partners not to allow Russian scenarios in Western Balkans.
The first of the state has said that Kosovo is protecting all citizens indiscriminately, and as a result of this Serbia is threatening barricades.
Serbia is a state that threatens anti-legal measures why Kosovo is implementing the law, all of this explains everything, so Serbia threatens with violence why Kosovo is implementing the law, why Kosovo is making sure of rule of law, this is the big picture that we constantly insist all of us will see, which is on all issues of law enforcement, issues of European and international standards, which Kosovo is respecting. All we are doing is implementing the law and defending our citizens indiscriminately, and as a result of this Serbia is threatening with violence and barricades which, as you know, are violation of the right to freedom of movement”, Osmani said after meeting with the president of the European Commission.
The president said all the work of Kosovo institutions is in full co-ordination with partners in defence of peace, stability and democracy.
“We will work together with all our partners not to allow these Russian scenarios to take place in the Western Balkans and not allow that since Serbia has chosen to dance with Putin's melody to have results in tension and destabilisation of our region. All of our work is in full co-ordination with our partners and our allies to protect peace, stability, protect the achieved democracy, but, above all, to ensure rule of law and equality before the law for all our citizens indiscriminate ethnicity or any background”, Osmani said.
Osmani said Serbs in Kosovo who have not yet converted the plates have not done so because of the continued threats they receive from illegal criminal structures.
She said the struggle of Kosovo institutions is against gangs, and that is why she said they expect to have support from allies.
“Our fight is against gangs, in our fight against gangs, in our fight for rule of law, we expect to have the continued support of our allies in the European Union, and from the United States of America” she added.
Regarding the Franco-German proposal, the president said this initiative would explain the leadership of Kosovo in detail over the coming weeks and months.
There will be meetings of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, of course under the leadership of the European Union and the German side so that details of this initiative aimed at intensifying the dialogue process, is aimed at peace and stability in our region, to be explained more in detail. Once all answers are received, of course, we will reveal to the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo”, Osmani said.
