Angelina Jolie will be Maria Callas. The Oscar award's winning actress will play Greek soprano in the film “Maria”, the new biographical film of Chilean director Pablo Larraquen. The film will show the lights of the troubled, beautiful and tragic history of the life of the world's largest opera singer, relived and reconsidered during her last days in Paris of the 1970s.
Commenting on the new role, Angelina Jolie said: “I take very seriously the responsibility to show Maria's life and heritage. I'll give you everything I can to meet this challenge. Pablo Larrain is a director I've long admired. Having the opportunity to tell Maria's story with her, and with a Steven Knight scenario, it's a dream”.
