75m euros: Kurti government doesn't know how citizens will be subsidised for electricity

We have been waiting for and waiting for a week for the Ministry of Finance to understand the way the power promoted by the Government of Kosovo will be subsidised, but so far we have not received answers, so we decided to write the text. Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli [...]

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli has said that costing electricity is inevitable and is expected to happen at any moment. And for that, the government has pre-empted to subsidise citizens for electricity growth.

From the Kosovo government, 75m euros spoke to the subvention, but the way of subsidisation is not known so far.

Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli has said that the final destination of this money will be the subsidisation of citizen and business bills and that the money will not go to KED.

She didn't stress how this subvention would become.

“No cent ends up in KESCO's pockets or KEDS, if that worries you. As far as the mechanism goes, this will be done in different ways. I wanted to design a system as simple and efficient as possible for all”, Rizvanolli said Monday at the Kosovo Assembly, where parliamentary debate on the price of the electricity was held.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, the finance minister announced that they had not planned the 75m-euro means for subsidies to electricity, which creates uncertainty.

Murati has stressed that they have not planned budgetary means for the energy crisis with the 2022 budget, but according to him, that money will be provided by accounting means or by the economic revival package.

“This is an emergency situation and it's not like we could have seen such a amount in the budget that we delivered to the Assembly in late October. The tools we need to ensure, because there are budgetary lines of accounting, there are also lines from Paco's economic renaissance, because the support for regular supply must also mean economic performance in a form. On the other hand, if reductions or expensive prices are returned to an unaffordable level this causes chain problems even in the country's economics”, Murati has said.

Despite the government's declarations of ministers of the Kurti Government, no one has so far demonstrated the concrete way of subvention.

The venetual increase in the price of electricity has created irritability among the people who came tomorrow, but also days have warned protests as opposition parties are waiting for a resolution against rising electricity prices to be voted./Periscopi/
