Vucinqi complains to Israel's president of recognition of Kosovo: You have disappointed us

Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, has complained to Israeli President Isar Herzeg about recognising Kosovo's independence from the Jewish state. Vuciq said Israel's decision was a disappointment for Serbia.
According to the statement after the telephone conversation, Vucicici also expressed the desire for Serbia to improve bilateral relations with Israel's new leadership, reports B92.
“We consider it very important that Serbia and Israel, through co-operation, contribute to the political and peaceful solution of all disputes, conflicts and open issues”, Vuciq said, adding that he expects the Bosnia and Israel entity to continue supporting the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
On February 1st, Kosovo and Israel formalised the establishment of diplomatic relations, which was named historical by both states.
Bilateral recognition between Kosovo and Israel was envisioned in the Washington Agreement, which was signed in September 2020 by then Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.
After signing this agreement, Israel's prime minister, Benjamin Netanyah, had said through a letter that these developments could lead to a new era in which both sides can benefit.
