People with financial disadvantages are likely to suffer from chronic diagnosiss such as cardiovascular diseases.
A new study has given a new perspective on how finances can affect our health, especially the danger of heart attack.
In a study published in “JAMA Cardiology”, researchers say that the changes in wealth are related to the risk of heart attack a growth in wealth is linked to a lower probability of heart attack, while a decline in wealth is associated with a higher one.
The reduced password is a risk factor that can change in one person's life and can affect one person's cardiovascular health status,” said co-author of the study, Mattias Vedugeneten.
Using data from the Health Study RAND (HRS) ) which traced information on the financial assets of participants, including housing, savings, debts and revenues, the researchers examined 5,579 adults over the age of 50 who had no heart problems when the HRS started.
Between January 1992 and 2016, participants reported all new health diagnosiss they received. Researchers found that subjects whose wealth grew up were less likely to develop cardiovascular diseases, while a drop in wealth increases their risk of heart disease.
The reduced password is accompanied by higher levels of stress, less healthy behaviour and less free time, and all is accompanied by weaker cardiovascular health”, said another co-author of the study, Andrej Samarsono.
