123 days from the disappearance of Bedri Rexhepi, family says the prosecution is staying silent

It has been 123 days, Bedri Rexhepi's family from Pristina are seeking to know where he is, but so far, they have not even one clue about him. They don't even know whether Bedru is alive or not.

The Rexhepi family is criticising the justice institutions for whitewashing Bedri's disappearance case.

Vedat Rexhepi, has stated to Express that despite the fact that the prosecution has a suspect who is in custody, no information so far has been released a day, for his brother's disappearance.

While the prosecution for the disappearance of Bedri has in custody the suspect Jeton Vlasaliu and the evidence available to him is convincing of his implications, we as a family still have no answer to where he is or what happened to Bedriu's fate”, Vedati stated.

Otherwise, the Express has made some written requests at the address of Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutor, to know whether investigations are under way about Bedri Rexhepi's disappearance case, but until the publication of this text, the prosecution has not responded to any Gaza request.

What has been known so far for the disappearance of Bedri Rexhepi

Bedri Rexhepi has disappeared on April 8th this year. A day later, his abandoned car was found on the fields of the village of Janjevo in Lipjan.

Regarding Bedriu's disappearance, police arrested Jeton Vlasaliu, who is suspected to be involved in his kidnapping.

Vlasaliu was appointed the detention measure from 13 pll to 13 May, meanwhile, Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutorship has not indicated whether he applied to the Constitutional Court for continuing the detention measure against him.

However, the Constitutional Court has told Express that Vlasali has continued the detention measure until early September.

After Bedriu's disappearance, his brothers had declared for Express that suspect Jeton Vlasaliu was a 38-year-old client, since he owned a rented car company.

He was a brother's client until he was arrested. He was a brother's car. He was regular with payments, a little late, but he was. For that they had some problems”, Adnan Rexhepi stated.

Bedri Rexhepi's brother, Vedati, has told Express that the suspect had contacted him via the social Facebook network.

He introduced himself as an AKI agent and told him he had contacts with a CIA agent. But he played those two roles on his own.

The Pristina Foundation Court on Wednesday announced that the 30-day detention measure has been scheduled for suspects. He is suspected of criminal acts “Dare”, “False presumption as official person”, “falsification of the document” and “Manipulation of evidence”.
