Murati calls Kurti a politician of “status qua”: He's trying to drag it and fail dialogue.

Political parties in relation to dialogue have been brought in a non-serious way by spreading it to public opinion as an inexploration by the European Union, but not as a necessity for Kosovo through it to solve the remaining problems with Serbia, Movement for the Union Chairman Valon Murati has said. From a range of politicians, according to Murati, and [...]

From a range of politicians, according to Murat and local Prime Minister Albin Kurti are among those who favour “status-quo”.

He even said that Kurti's head of state is using all these tactics to procrastinate dialogue and even fail it.

“In general, political parties in relation to dialogue have behaved in a non-serious way by spreading it to public opinion as an EU implant, but not as a necessity for Kosovo through it to solve the remaining problems with Serbia and then walk on its path and finish the process of state formations. From a range of politicians, Mr. Kurti is one who most favours “status-quo” so that Kosovo will remain in this unclear situation of unresolved reports with Serbia and, thus, he uses all these tactics to put the dialogue on hold and fail. Recognising Kurt's political concept is in line what he thinks should produce dialogue above all, as well as other politicians have no courage to enter a process that would produce bold solutions”, Murati said in a proposal for EO.

Among other things, Murati stressed that he sees the possibility of a Kosovo recognition by Serbia far, without presenting all problems that plague Kosovo.

However, he said the only way Kosovo should go is to add to the negotiating table the issue of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac, in order to insist on putting reciprocity there.

“I see remote access to recognition from Serbia and on the other side Kosovo will come up with profit in such a process only when it presents key problems that plague Kosovo at the negotiating table. There are many problems between the two countries that especially strike Kosovo, but from this dialogue Serbia has an interest in the way of European integrations. I have the full conviction that the only way Kosovo should be pursued is to add the issue of Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac to the negotiating table. So the position of Albanians there. Initially, reciprocity is required persistently that what will be required for Serbs in northern municipalities also be required for Albanians, and Kosovo would be final if this process ends with redefining borders. The Albanian part of eastern Kosovo joins Kosovo, and the Serbian part of Leposaviqi, Zubin Potok, joins Serbia and changes the Kosovo Constitution, which has many obstacles. It would be a functional state and roads would be opened for European integration and roads would be opened for an opportunity to join Albania”, he said.

On the other hand, analyst Murati added that the biggest loss for Kosovo is if it continues with an unfinished, long-term dialogue and frozen conflict with Serbia.

So what we're left with is worse because we're not integrated into international institutions, we have problems with the Constitution, with the north and the right to veto Serbs in the Parliament. And if it ends with an association for Serbs Kosovo makes it even more functional than it is today. The biggest loss for Kosovo is if we continue this way because with an unfinished, long-term dialogue and frozen conflict with Serbia. Today the political scene at the helm with Prime Minister Kurti is in favour of “status-quo” so remain as we are and I see it dangerous because there can be a moment when we can impose solutions on our allies, but I don't see quick the outcome of the dialogue either for good or for bad. “Status-quo” is not compatible with Kosovo and Albanians, but more to Serbia in this” context, he told EO.
