But despite playing just one game beyond the groups, Ronaldo still managed to win the Euro 2020 Golden Shoe.
Juvenus' star scored five goals in three matches of the group's phase for Portugal (two against Hungary, one against Germany, and two against France).
Czech striker Patrick Schick was the other player who scored five goals, but Ronaldo won the Golden Shoe after Portuguese also contributed to an assisting.
Winning the Golden Shoe at 36 is a phenomenal achievement.

According to The Sun, Ronaldo became the oldest player to have won the Golden Shoe at a European champion and one at a great distance.
