The Pristina Aqua sends over a thousand cases to its owner, 2.2m euros in debt only to the pandemic

The Regional Water Company “Prishtina” has sent over a thousand cases to the owner as a result of default.

In an interview for Online Economics, chief executive task officer Sokol Xhafa said over 700 cases have been handled by the owner, while 300 cases are under procedure.

There are over 700 cases that have been handled by the Master and over a thousand cases that have been sent to the Master, approximately 300 cases are in procedure from above”, Xhafa said.

The debt accumulated from January to May totals 600 thousand euros, Xhafa points out, while the total debt in the pandemic alone totals 2.2m euros.

“The total debt situation is approximately 47 million, we are talking about today the debt situation accumulated during the pandemic period 2.2 million. While during this period between January and May, it is approximately 600 thousand euros, only this portion that is collected, of course, the share of the completion sequence has increased”.

But it's still about us worrying because this 47 million is going and growing, because it puts the company in inappropriate positions or tries to create better services for our consumers”, he said.

He said reductions have not applied during this time and do not plan to apply, only in case of any defect.

“We have not applied at this time to apply at all, the only problem remains areas which are high-scale areas and are being built rapidly from the high construction section and are not being forwarded to infrastructure from the Pristina municipal assembly or from the municipality itself, because unfortunately we have a construction invasion, but with the infrastructure is severely blocked, and this then sometimes can cause water shortages at these points, where demand for water is great and infrastructure does not meet, otherwise we will not apply to account for a reduction of<1> he stressed further.

The situation is good in Lake Batislava, which is just a few inches in the passage level, still being stable in terms of levels are very good compared to the years that have passed. Badoci's part is a little bit worse but it's still a good situation, it would be much better to be at the access level, but from the aspect of the water supply gives us good security and I believe consumers will not have problems in the future”, he said.
