Culture Minister Hajrlla Ceku has rewarded the National Prize for Life in Cinematography, former candidate for MP from the ranks of Vetevendosje Movement, Africa Spahiun.
While in opposition, leaders and members of the Vetevendosje Movement have repeatedly accused others of nepotism and clientelelym, promising that when employment and rewards come to power, they will be made based on the principle of meritocracy.
While, now that they are in charge of state institutions, VV ministers have begun hiring and appointing them to their neighbouring institutions and supporters of their party. In addition, they are being honoured at state prices.
Africa Spahiu, who was rewarded with the National Prize for Lifetime in Cinematographer “Bekim Fehmiu”, in 2014 had competed for deputy with the number 83 in the Vetevendosje movement and received only 590 votes, last night accepted it by Minister Ceku at a ceremony.
Spahiu himself made that known through a post on his Facebook account.
