Prime Minister Albin Kurti said Italy is an important partner for Kosovo, stressing their contribution to dialogue with Serbia.
He further said Italy constantly makes efforts to help us liberalise visas for Kosovo, viewing friendship with the Italian state as very important.
“We have implemented our tasks, and we thank you that Italy constantly makes efforts at recognising Kosovo from other countries and liberalising visas, so with Italy we have a true friendship. The only solution is to recognise our state and help Serbia with Milosevic's strengthened mentality. Vital for us is the recognition of Kosovo. There will be no replay of the” tragedies, Kurti concluded.
Kurti said this statement before addressing Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Luigi di Maio, ahead of the Parliament's deputies. In his speech, he expressed honours to the presence of Minister Luigi di Maio, naming Italy the largest Balkan neighbour.
“Mik and an important partner for Kosovo, just four days after Kosovo's declaration of Independence, she recognised our country and was very helpful. Italy has worldwide influence and echoed worldwide. Italy is an inexhaustible source, and we can learn. Our goal is for Kosovo to create an economic base on the basis of our work. Italy is the biggest Balkan neighbour, I deeply appreciate the firm stance on the six countries' EU integration”, Kurti said.
