For most people, wine is a good time of year. It may also be very useful for people with seasonal effects disorder (SAD), but many others may feel pressured by extra time during the day and feel guilty that they are not enjoying or doing enough. Here are some things you can do for “summing blues”:
1. Be grateful it's not last year. Remember, the year almost everything was limited, and this year the measures are being released! This is something that should make us less happy.
2. Plan some kind of adventure over the summer. Planning a journey, however small, can be exciting. If you travel on your own or with a group, your family, or your partner, you realize that the path to your destination can be as entertaining as your destination, perhaps even more.
3. Understand that it is normal to have concerns about the virus. It is understandable to be still nervous about pandemic. If you are, then continue your protocols and stay safe, but make sure this doesn't stop you from going out, going to the beach and moving as far as you can. Even a little action like planting some flowers can fill your day with happiness.
4. Add a new dimension to your lifestyle. This summer is your chance to do something fun that makes you feel good about yourself. Try camping, start learning guitar, a foreign language, going to a dance class, etc.
5. Connect with friends and family. Being around loved ones can change us for the better in dimensions you haven't thought of. A genuine conversation and a warm embrace can be “greet” too.
Don't think of the wine as a <x0 task” that you dropped out of. Do what makes you feel better. The possibilities are endless, just a little deeper and a little more.
Have fun your way.
