Over 208 thousand unregistered cars, membership challenge for Green Carton

The large number of unregistered vehicles and Kosovo's non-membership in the United Nations Organisation are enabling the country to be part of the Green Carton. And so far the number of unregistered vehicles is 208 thousand 100 or 30 percent of vehicles, so said [...]
And so far the number of unregistered vehicles is 208 thousand 100 or 30 percent of vehicles instead of having no register, Sami Mazrek, the director of the Kosovar Insurance Bureau said.
However, to reduce the number of unregistered Mazrek cars has cited some advantages, such as changing the payment of the tax in the municipality, as well as changing ownership.
The worry is that last year in March, when I published the first news, there were 128 thousand cars in the unregistered system, and a month ago in our next publication, there were 208 thousand and 100 cars. What we've been looking for is that we should work together to remove some barriers to car registration and that number change. We know that in this number a large part is from 2000-2007. Removing savings, changing tax fees in the municipality, carrying ownership will change and eventually create reliefs because we thus reduce the number of unregistered vehicles”, he said.
Among other things Mazreku has noted that these problems can be solved in co-operation with relevant institutions, reports EO.
This is the problem because Kosovo is not part of the UN, what we are doing is not going to solve the political problem, but we're thinking we have alternative elections, and it's that we did these tasks and reliefs in order to convert the” numbers, Mazreku added.
While the Bureau pays 5m to 7m euros in damages to unregistered cars.
Mazreku said it's against paying a fine in order to register cars.
“With the dynamics the government is working on and the changes are likely to occur this year, and these not only affect the external ratio but also the inside because the losses are millions for the state and the insurance industry, and 5 to 7m euros are paying damages to these cars. We're never against paying fines, but we're against saving fines in car registrations, and we've said that the automotive law needs to be changed, the fines have to be cleared as a condition, and we have a bottom line, he's done.
