Prime Minister Kurti declared in Brussels that he will not participate in the meeting, warned on 11 May by European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative Josep Borrell.
European Union High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Josep Borrell has declared on April 26th that dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia is expected to continue on May 11th.
Pacolli added that Kosovo will dialogue with Serbia, but is not an essential priority, adding that the government's priority is economic development, the opening of new jobs and justice in the country.
What is important to note is that with Mr. Kurti's visit to Brussels, a dialogue has begun between Kosovo and the EU not between Kosovo and Serbia, because it has been discussed specific issues especially with different commissioners on issues of agriculture, environment and energy. These are issues that should be discussed with the EU. We meet the criteria to make necessary reforms in order to pave the way for Kosovo towards the European Union. The question of dialogue with Serbia is the issue that needs to be discussed and we will dialogue with Serbia, but it is not the basic priority of the government and Kosovo citizens. Prioritys have economic development, increased jobs and justice in the country”.
On the other hand, she said the main problem for delays in anti-Cavid-19 virus vaccines is changing governments.
I don't know when the other container is expected but you have to ask the Ministry of Health and they believe they have accurate information. But the next few days we have information that Kosovo will receive vaccines a number of the vaccines that are needed. It is important that the population be vaccinated as soon as possible, and that is not only the problem of Kosovo but also of the EU. We know that the EU has problems with the supply of vaccines in their countries as well as the problem is the change of governments in Kosovo in the pandemic period, especially in the collapse of the Kurti government, and these delays are of past governance which has not started negotiations for vaccines much earlier. Kurti government and the Health Ministry are doing their best to provide vaccines as soon as possible”, she said of Online Economy.
Kosovo on Tuesday has accepted 4 680 doses of Pfizer and BioNTech companies' vaccine.
This is the first part of the 950,000 doses the European Union has divided for Kosovo, under the support of vaccines in Western Balkan countries.
Even at the end of March, in the form of a donation, Kosovo had accepted 24,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine as a donation via the World Health Organization's COVAX programme, which aims to distribute vaccines to poor countries.
These doses were spent at the end of March.
