On February 24th of this year, German and Belgian authorities had seized 23 tonnes of cocaine, thus marking the record of such a thing in Europe.
The 28-year-old owner of an import company in Rotterdam was arrested in the Netherlands. His nationality was unknown, but it was known that all this amount of cocaine had been due to Holland's destination. This amount of cocaine had come from countries like Colombia and Ecuador.
“Mega-drages confiscated in Holland makes an absolute record. Never before has so much cocaine been seized,” the police said.
It is learned that there was co-operation between Italian police, Albanian and Kosovo cocaine seizures in Kosovo.
Earlier, German officials had discovered 16 tons of drugs in a container that was going from Paraguay to the port of Hamburg on February 12th.
