Japan offers Kosovo assistance in pandemic management

Mitsunori expressed Japan's desire and goal for deepening relations with the Republic of Kosovo, while Kurti thanked him for Japan's continued assistance to Kosovo.
He estimated that bilateral relations should deepen in all areas, while a new chapter of economic co-operation should begin, with focus on the field of information technology taking into account the potential of youth in Kosovo, as well as co-operation with the diaspora”, the Government says.
The employee Mitsunori reaffirmed that Kosovo will have continued support from Japan, including assistance through the grant to address COVID-19.
Minister Vitita thanked Mitsunori for helping the health sector and current co-operation to bring in new beds and medical equipment. He asked for support for the Health Insurance Fund and the Health Information System.
Prime Minister Kurti and Mitsunori agreed on the joint organisation of a virtual business seminar to attract Japan's businesses.
They also talked about the successes of Kosovo athletes in the international arena and the Tokyo Olympic Games, in which Prime Minister Kurti said he would be present.
Japan's Embassy in Kosovo employee Ogasawara Mitsunori handed Prime Minister Kurti a letter of congratulations from his Japanese counterpart, Yoshihide Suga, on the occasion of electing Kosovo Republic Prime Minister.
