According to claims of sources from the Serbian newspaper “Vecernje Novosti”, confirmed after the meeting by the Serbian president, the crash began after summit participants first took initiative to approve some conclusions under which borders in the region are unchanged. Those conclusions were in advance opposed by Aleksandar Vuchic.
President Osmani has stressed at this meeting that it is necessary to accept the truth about what happened in the region.
When we talk about what actually happened to the victims, the survivors, those who disappeared from the wars. And most importantly, when we talk about why the authors of these disgusting crimes committed by the Milosevic regime are not behind bars. Beyond my duty as president of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, it is my moral and human duty to speak the truth about what happened in our country. The crimes committed by the Milosevic regime we call in their real name: War crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide. And, most importantly, it is to ask our northern neighbour, Serbia, to bring to justice the perpetrators of these terrible crimes against innocent civilians”, the president Osmani is numerous.
Some images from this meeting have been published on Facebook by Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic.
At the meeting, which was held on closed doors -- without the presence of the media -- Croatian President Zoran Milanovic, Albanian President Ilir Meta, Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, Bosnian Presidency members Milorad Dodik, Zeljko Komsic, Sefik Gjaferovic and Northern Macedonia President Stevo Pendarovski attended.
The host of the summit, Slovenian President Borut Pahor, on the occasion of today's summit, last week spoke with Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani in Pristina and with Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq in Belgrade.
Pahor said in Pristina that he opposes changing borders in the Western Balkans, while Osmani said dialogue with Serbia would continue, but not to talk about Kosovo's status and borders.
