Roth said the European Union should keep its promises, adding that visa liberalisation in Kosovo would have long been fulfilled since Kosovo has met the conditions.
The European Union must keep its promises, and I say that in an autocrytic way. Visa liberalisation in Kosovo should have been fulfilled for some time, not because Michael Roth wants it, but because the Commission has determined that conditions have been met and so on, it is now the same. The conditions have, therefore, been fulfilled, but the European Union is structured on the central issue precisely on reaching consensus. All European Union states take on their responsibilities”, Roth said.
Roth made this statement during the joint conference with Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, following Deutsche Welle's question in Tirana, if failing to keep promises from the EU and keeping Albania hostage indefinitely due to disagreements between Bulgaria and the MV puts EU credibility at risk.
