The security of journalists and those who work for freedom of speech... their defence is truly a very important responsibility. Our embassy is working on this case and we are expecting clarifications from Netanyah, we speak with him regularly”, the French president said.
The Macron's statement came after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called for a reason from Israel to destroy the US news agency's office, the Associated Press, and Al Jazeera.
Israel has said that part of the building was being used by Hamas militants for an intelligence operation, writes Anadolu, broadcast Gazeta Express.
The Associated Press itself has called for evidence from Israel of claims about Hamas' presence and an independent investigation into the air strike that destroyed his offices.
The international media organisation, “Reporters without Borders”, has said that Israel's air attacks last week have destroyed the offices of 23 local and international media.
